On March 11, 2026 we started receiving reports of MQBM being unable to print invoices due to a fatal error. MQBM would "crash" when the person was pressing the button to view the invoice prior to sending it to the printer.

Based on timing and prior history, it seems most likely related to a large Microsoft update (2026-03 Security Update (KB5079473) (26200.8037)) which came out on 3/10/26. It does NOT impact all installations of MQBM as some have no issues despite having received the update.

Further investigation has uncovered the crash occurs when MQBM is applying the customer selected fonts to the invoice. We have a modified version of MQBM available that avoids the issue by removing the ability to select different fonts and sizes. Installing the modification requires a single file replacement and does not cause any data loss.
